Sliding Lock
After the opening of the body, the band can be shaped by hand up to approximately the diameter of the clamp. The deadbolt can then be closed and the clamp tightened by turning the screw. As a result, the Screw should only be turned as the last part of the clamping process.
Dec Stop Part
The deadbolt is secured with the Dec stop part. Even when loosely mounted, the clamps cannot be opened by themselves.
Visual Overload Protection
The Nest has a visibly changing network above 4-5 Nm (35-44 inch-lbs) of tightening torque. This visual feature indicates that the clamp with an infinite Screw System is optimally squeezed and that there is sufficient safety factor up to maximum tightening torque.
Butterfly screw Infinite screw system clamps
The clamp with the butterfly screw Infinite Screw System can be installed completely without the use of tools. The built-in, curve-shaped non-tilting wing provides optimum grip. The dimensions correspond to the standard design except for the butterfly screw.
Oetiker Universal Clamp Band
The Universal tensioner tape is of 8 or 12 mm band width, each in rolls of 10, 20 or 30 m length and has locks suitable for 8 or 12 mm band width.
Assembly Proposals
We recommend the use of a 5A/F nut wrench for the safe tightening of screw clamps where no butterfly screws are used. The maximum static tightening torque is 6 nm (53 in-lb).
Installing The Clamp With The Infinite Screw System
Measure the perimeter to be cuffed and cut the tape to that length. Thread the end of the tape from above through the narrow gap within the clamping element and fold it back at least 40 mm from the bottom of the tape. Thread the second end of the tape through the narrow gap in the perforated part of the clamping element and fold back at least 40 mm. Push the tape around the part to be clamped, push the end of the tape to the bottom of the hole sliding lock, and close it. The clamp ranges of the infinite screw system clamps range from 30 mm to 1000 mm. Clamps with an infinite Screw System are delivered preformatted up to 200 mm diameter, while those above 200 mm are supplied flat. Customer-specific sizes are available on request.
